THE BEST WAYS TO SHOP AT RITE AID:

Single Check Rebates (SCR's) and +UP Rewards (+UP):

Rite Aid currently has 2 programs running and I imagine they will eventually phase out the SCR's.

SCR's: These are rebates earned on qualifying products and to obtain the rebate, you have to enter your receipt information on their SCR site.  Once a month you can request a check.  Once you receive the check, you can either use it towards merchandise in their store or deposit it in your bank account.  In some cases, the rebate may be a coupon for a free item or a Rite Aid gift card.

+UP Rewards: When you purchase qualified items, a +UP Reward will print at the bottom of your receipt.  For example this week if you buy Nivea body wash, you get a $1 +UP Reward.  The +UP Reward is valid toward any store purchase (excludes prescriptions).  These can be used with all of your other manufacturer coupons.

As with Walgreens and CVS, the goal at Rite Aid is to work their deals in order to get the cheap and/or free stuff and still have +UP rewards or rebates for your next deal there.  The first time you shop Rite Aid, you will likely pay out of pocket; however your goal should be to pay less then you will receive in SCR's or +UP Rewards for that first purchase.  Then the next sale, you will use those SCR's or +UP Rewards to pay little or no money out of pocket (or, if needed, for items you can't find on sale such as milk, paper products, etc).  Each week, I will show some scenario's to help you understand this a little better.
